To strengthen the system of collaboration among health research institutions in Metro Manila, the Metro Manila Health Research and Development Consortium (MMHRDC) was established on February 13, 2009. It aims to develop and enhance capacity of institutions within and outside the region engaged and which has interest in health research, as a strategy to improve the health conditions of its people.
At present, the MMHRDC has a membership of forty (40) health research institutions including the four (4) core agencies namely, CHED, DOH, DOST, and UPM-NIH.
With a view to expanding its outreach, the MMHRDC is inviting applications for membership from health research institutions in the Metro Manila area.
The following guidelines provide the rules and procedures that govern membership in the organization of the Metro Manila Health Research and Development Consortium.
I. Qualifications for and expansion of membership
Any public, private or non-government organizations in Metro Manila which has the intent, capability and resources to undertake health research or related development activities can become a member of the MMHRDC.
- Letter of intent from the institution (applicant) signed by the head of the institution
- Endorsement from a founding member institution of the MMHRDC
- Accomplished survey form (see the website downloads section Here)
