The MMHRDC Health Research Exemplar Awards recognize outstanding contributions to health research in Metro Manila. Held biennially, the awards honor researchers from MMHRDC member institutions who have advanced the field of health research, policy, development, and ethics.

PURPOSE 
The awards aim to acknowledge the significant contributions of researchers in health research and development, health policy, and the mentoring of health researchers, supporting the advancement of health research in the region

ELIGIBILITY
Who can nominate?
Any bona fide personnel from an MMHRDC member institution may nominate. Self-nomination is accepted. Nominations must be endorsed by the nominee’s institutional head.

Who can endorse?
Only the head of the nominee’s MMHRDC member institution can endorse the nomination using Form 2 – Endorsement Form.

Who can be nominated?
Nominees must meet the following requirements:

  1. Nominees must be a Filipino citizen
  2. Must be currently or previously affiliated with at least one MMHRDC member institution
  3. Must have been actively involved in health research for at least five (5) years
  4. Must have participated in MMHRDC activities for at least two (2) years
  5. Must have a strong track record in health research as a leader, investigator, mentor, author, or enable.

HOW TO NOMINATE

  • Submit Form 1 (Nomination Form) with a narrative description (1,000-1,500 words) and supporting documents.
  • Submit Form 2 (Endorsement Form) signed by the head of the institution.
  • Two reference letters (one internal and one external) must also be submitted.

REQUIREMENTS FROM THE NOMINEES
The requirements are as follows:

  1. Copy of the following documents to be submitted on or before the published deadline
    1. Accomplished detailed and updated curriculum vitae using the MMHRDC prescribed format
    2. Descriptions of achievements related to health research for the last five (5) years, including supporting documents (e.g., electronic copies of certificates of recognition/awards/honors received by the nominee), which are relevant to the nominee’s eligibility criteria as indicated in section IV.c.
    3. Submit soft copies of the abstract of the published papers/research
